Holistic Support

If you are potentially interested in working with Ano as a holistic coach, mediator, guide, mentor, or teacher, either in person or on-line, this page expresses the kind of work Ano has done and can do with people. This kind of activity often happens informally with people living at GYG or during the immersion, but for people who aren’t living at GYG or want to work more formally with Ano, this page describes how Ano is inspired to support people…

Restoring Innate Sociality

—————————-

A holistic approach to supporting the heart, mind, body, & relationships
to align with our true nature as divinely human social animals -
in integrity with our soul and life mission, while rooted in intrinsic joy and functionality.

If You’d Like A More Functional And Joyful Life Please Consider This…

~     ~     ~

When your mind, body, heart, or innate sociality aren’t functioning how they’re designed to there will be all sorts of symptoms.  Most people spend much of their life experiencing the repercussions of these symptoms or attempting to change the symptoms and feel better.

But unless you actually go to the source and create a healthy, balanced, and full activation of your mind, body, heart, and innate sociality, these symptoms will just keep returning - and as time goes on, get worse and harder to change.

To create the kind of life we dream of we must get our foundation healthy and whole.  Then we must also be in relationships with people who are doing that same kind of work themselves.

The heart, mind, body, and soul need to be synchronized in a complex, harmonious, and integrated dynamic within each of us in order for our lives to thrive dependably and sustainably.

Even though we’re each a unique person with a unique soul, the actual way the heart, body, and mind are designed to optimally function in a human being is universal.  This means if one truly understands the mind, heart, and body, then one can support almost anyone effectively.

To make our life work we must realign our heart, mind and body to how they’re designed to be and function together.  If we do that and then keep up with ongoing maintenance and “repair,” we won’t lose our alignment and attunement, and we can sustain the life we dream of.  We won’t end up with symptoms we don’t like.  Our life will flow joyfully the way it’s designed to.

Of course, we must also care for the social systems we participate in and choose who we are close to wisely, or the work we’ve done on our self might be undermined by external forces.

So, you can see a lot of elements both internal and external must synergize consistently, over time for us to have our lives be the beautiful possibility we know in the depths of our soul.

Indeed, just one element out of alignment or attunement can be enough to cause major issues.  But they aren’t accidents, they are symptoms of lack of mental sobriety, lack of bodily health, lack of Holistic Heart activation, and the obscuration or repression of our innate sociality.

Supporting people at an individual, family, and cultural level to enjoy the wholeness, vitality, and delightful functionality that we all deserve is a huge passion of mine - one I’ve dedicated most of my adult life in pursuit of mastering.

Aloha!  My name is Ano Tarletz Hanamana.  I’m a Holistic Consciousness and Culture Pioneer.  I’ve devoted my life as a living research lab for learning how to live sustainably and holistically as a human on this sacred Earth.

I started eating only raw food in 1990 and moved to rural Hawaii in 1992.  In 1998, I had a “Witness Awakening” in The Waking Down spiritual sangha.  I’ve also practiced and taught Nonviolent Communication (NVC) since 2000.

The GaiaYoga vision and teaching began emerging through me in 2001.  In 2003 I co-founded GaiaYoga Gardens Intentional Community (GYG), which is an off-grid permaculture homestead, and food-forest, as well as a sanctuary and research station for developing sustainable and holistic culture.    See the rest of the website for more details.

I’m a father of two, (a boy born 2011 and a girl born 2012).

I’ve led the 25+ class immersions at GYG since 2006 and was very active in the ManKind Project (MKP) from 2010-2017.

I’ve written and published four teaching books: Instinctive Eating, 1996; An Introduction To GaiaYoga, 2001; True Human Freedom, 2016; and The Four No-Bull Truths, 2024.

I also free climb coconut trees as a yoga and to feed GYG and the patrons of my local farmer’s market - amassing 10,000+ climbs since 1993.

Living “in the trenches” with ~1000 people for the last 20+ years – ranging from weeks to years - I’ve experienced what makes us tick and not tick very intimately.  This depth of engagement has catalyzed tremendous growth and healing.

After finishing my last book, The Four No-Bull Truths, and the 2 year-long reevaluation it emerged out of, I became inspired to contribute to a wider range of people. I can work with individuals, couples, families, communities, organizations, etc.  As the trade’s people say… “No job too big or too small!”

Testimonials

Ano Tarletz Hanamana is a coach that guided me deeply, safely and with the right sense for direction into my shadows. I felt, that he was warmly connected to me at all times during the healing session, respected any change of course my soul needed for that experience and helped me integrate a part of me. Being a coach and psychologist myself, I can open heartedly recommend him to anyone, who wants to feel the powerful and loving presence of masculine guidance and support in healing. -- Linda Schroeter, Professional Psychologist, Germany

I have attended two 6-week Nonviolent Communication classes taught by Ano. Each time I received several  gems of new tools for communicating with the people in my life. I also learned more about myself and how to listen to others more carefully, with giraffe ears and to take myself less seriously. I highly recommend anyone who would like to improve their communication and listening skills to spend some time with Ano. He is a professional at what he does and has many years of practical usage of NVC with his community. -- Johnny Miller, Puna Hawaii

Ano has been a huge help assisting in my healing journey. I learned so much from attending his NVC class series during my GaiaYoga Immersion in 2019. Many times since he’s helped me heal connections with people who are important in my life via mediation & NVC empathy. In recent years I have worked alongside him helping mediate conflicts within the community where I have had the opportunity to witness how he effectively navigates extremely challenging and charged communications. I appreciate the sincerity of Ano’s care and would highly recommend his healing services to anyone who feels stuck or stagnant in their heart-connection to self or others.       -- Harmony Violet, Virginia and Puna Hawaii

Ano has been a friend, teacher and brother in my circle of men for over 14 years.  I have participated in taking his class on NVC several times, and each time I learn something new, more subtle about the culture of nonviolent communication.  I also have seen how his teaching continues to evolve. He sincerely cares about creating a better world by bringing consciousness to how we relate to ourselves first, then how we relate to others.  His knowledge of the material goes way deeper than just the words he uses.  I can actually feel his being transmitting from the culture he’s devoted to as he teaches.  His teaching actually emerges out of his immersed experience.  I have learned so much from him and I see the effectiveness of what I’ve learned in the way I relate to myself, to those close to me, and all the others I encounter in my day.  I highly recommend him as a “heart-and-mind mechanic.” Daniel, Professional Glass Artist, Puna Hawaii

Ano coached me on eating instinctively.  I could tell he has deep experience with this practice.  His mastery of this way of life, through decades of application, allowed him to support me emotionally and spiritually as I navigated the challenges and insights during my initial learning.  I’d refer anyone to him who is serious about transforming their daily food habits and unlocking a profound way of being.  I found that instinctive eating was both medicine and vitality affirming.  Ano's knowledge and skill at sharing it is bar none.  The method may seem intimidating, but it’s a revelation once you do it.     – Audrey Ichida, Senior Micro-biologist at ICF, Puna Hawaii

Ano is a great coach that helped me to see past the self deceptive thinking that I need to choose between two needs and allowed me to see that I can meet both needs instead. He explained to me why I was thinking that way and from my own experience I could see how it made sense. Anyone looking to understand more about how they can meet their needs, I would recommend to talk with Ano.   -- Daniël Stolk, Holistic Therapist & Coach

Ano teaches with compassion, humor, and sincerity. Methods of communication that soften the ego, reveal the heart, and connect our humanity are his superpower.       -- Shiloh Circle, Puna Hawaii
